About Jessica

Originally from Auckland, Jessica is now based between her urban hometown and beautiful Mangawhai in picturesque Northland, just over an hours drive from Auckland’s CBD. She has always been a creative, independent and strategic thinker with a love for combining her natural business acumen and creative talents with a discerning eye for detail, which naturally lends in self to her Graphic Design work. In addition to this, she has gained rich background experience in corporate marketing and event management, giving her great insight and knowledge to develop her current best practices.

Before launching Oh Gosh, Jessica worked in social media and digital marketing content creation, combining this with digital strategy for national event organisations and some of the countries top agencies. During this time, she was working with some of New Zealand’s most recognised, household brands.

Jessica has studied Art & Design at Hereford College of Arts (UK) in 1999 and gained a Diploma in Graphic Design from Media Design School (NZ) in 2009.

A tastemaker in her field, Jessica is a known style blogger for FoxesBlog.com with a strong online following and was dubbed one of New Zealands ‘Top Pinteresters to Follow‘ in 2014 and one of ‘New Zealand’s top Instagrammers to Follow‘ for Home Inspiration in 2015. Having previously owned Foxes; a curated on-line design store, she has a keen eye for design and selecting only the best items.

In addition to the successful handmade designer market, the Auckland Fair, Jessica has designed and developed The Workroom, an online resource hub for creatives. Alongside the Fair, she has curated and organised many of Auckland’s most recognisable markets including First Thursdays, Silo Park, Laneway Festival (2009) and the We Can Create designers markets, giving her an enviable and proven track record with organising multiple facets for a successful project.

Jessica has over the years done a number of speaking engagements, including The Biz series through Yellow Pages, and the NZ Gift Fair, presenting on her social media experience followed by a comprehensive Q&A session.

In early 2018, Jessica launch Gather Magazine, a subsidiary of and self published by Oh Gosh. The natural next step in her career, stemming from over 10 years of blogging and design, specialising in print. Taking full creative control of the project; from branding, design and layout to photography, staffing, editorial concepts and styling, to marketing, publicity, sales and distribution — all falling under Jessica’s experienced eye.

This level of extensive experience allows Jessica to bring these skills to your project. Combining layers of marketing, design, creative thinking and organisational skills to rival the best, Jessica is someone you can trust to work hard on your project.
